STOLEN : BRONZE SUNDIAL PLATE BY WHITEHURST
Stolen Place : Near Worksop, Nottinghamshire UK
Stolen Date : Sometime in 2008
A large horizontal sundial plate with distinctive bats wing gnomon, signed
Whitehurst, Derby, made circa 1777, approx 43cms (17ins) diameter. It was calibrated to the minute, and possibly had the equation of time and the arms of the second Duke of Newcastle.
